Spirit EMS provides specialized bariatric ambulance transportation with equipment designed to safely and comfortably accommodate patients requiring additional stretcher capacity and support.
Our specialized bariatric stretcher is designed to accommodate patients up to 1,500 pounds—significantly more than a standard ambulance stretcher, which typically supports up to 700 pounds.
To help provide the highest level of safety and comfort during transport, an extra-wide mattress is also available and may be utilized based on the individual patient's needs and requirements.
Spirit EMS is on standby around the clock, seven days a week, every day of the year. Because specialized bariatric equipment is limited, this service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
